About Rik
I am an independent technology content writer who divides my time between New York City and Woodstock, New York. I write about a range of technology products and concepts for corporations and consumers. I have worked for national and local newspapers, trade magazines and consumer magazines for more than two decades. My last magazine job was as editor in chief of Computer Shopper; I have been an independent content writer since 2007.
Personal stuff: I was raised in Houston but have lived in New York for 30 years. I am married to David Santos, and we have an oversize gray cat named Becky and an undersize dachshund named Jessie. I play classical piano passably well.
I also serve on the board of ETHEL’s Foundation for the Arts, a non-profit organization that supports contemporary music and the string quartet ETHEL.
